5 Basses arrive....
Our Five New Double Basses arrive in Chubut and Rio Negro, one in each photo. Trevelin, El Hoyo, Puerto Madryn, Trelew, El Bolson.
PIP received a family bequest of a valuable French Double Bass, and rather than risk sending it on the long journey to one group in Chubut, the decision was taken to sell this bass to raise funds and then buy a larger number of student basses, at the sizes required by each orchestra. We are glad to say that this was a wise choice as many more children will benefit now and in the future, in each of these orchestras. The family from Llanelli in South Wales who donated the original bass, have been overjoyed by the legacy that their father has now left children who couldn't afford an instrument to learn on, as this was his original desire in his will.
